FARMINGTON -- If a library patron wants to get onto a computer to check the Internet, it should be easier now.
That's because rather than having your name placed on a paper list, as in the past, now patrons can sign onto a computer station themselves and get a specific assignment, said Jerry Meyer, assistant library director for Davis County.
The system follows what has been implemented already by library systems to the immediate north and south.
"The computer keeps track of the time someone is on the computer," Meyer said. "We are surprised, that at the different branches, occasionally we see people who will literally spend about the whole day there.
"Centerville has got a number of PCs because it's such a new library. They get good use, but not as heavy," he said.
