CENTERVILLE — The city’s paper and plastic are well on their way to having a new home.

The Centerville City Council voted unanimously for the city to begin negotiations with ACE disposal for an opt-out city-wide recycling program, which will be bundled with negotiations for the city’s next waste-hauling contract.

Though city officials had considered delaying the negotiation process until 2009, the response from residents at the public meeting held earlier this month made them decide to hurry the decision.
